Thursday - Saturday Nights (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
How Will You Make an Impact?:
The Packaging Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing mechanical and/or electrical maintenance functions to setup, adjust, maintain, and repair packaging production equipment. You will help ensure that the safety, quality, and productivity of the packaging lines meet the required company standards. You will also use a continuous improvement mindset to reduce rejects and time lost due to equipment breakdowns by monitoring production rates, making equipment adjustments, and supporting repairs to packaging equipment.
A Day in the Life:
Lead the equipment setup activities of the packaging lines to ensure machines are running safely, within quality specifications, and efficiently
Perform and document repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment, based on written instructions, drawings, plans, diagrams, verbal descriptions, or self-assessed requirements based on observed conditions
Recognize and remedy quality problems and perform changeovers and cleanups as required to maintain patient safety and uphold cGMP standards
Support training and development of new associates working on the packaging lines to build a high-performance culture
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Mechanical aptitude/proficiency and experience using manufacturing equipment
Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others in a team setting
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read work instructions and procedures/manuals/diagrams/schematics
Preferred: Experience in pharmaceutical production and/or packaging preferred
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Position requires wearing personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, various styles of dust masks or respirators, safety glasses, safety shoes, and scrubs or modified gowning
Ability to manipulate/handle drums weighing up to 60 kg and lift containers and/or tooling weighing up to 20 kg intermittently throughout the workday
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time
