Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: Norcross, GA
Duration: 4 Months of contract (temp to hire)
Shift/Time Zone: Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Payrate: $21.70 - 24.13/Hr on W2
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company to patients, whether they are completing routine health screenings or making important health decisions. This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed safely, accurately, and in accordance with established guidelines.
The PSR II builds trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures clearly and performing specimen collection skillfully and professionally. This role requires strong leadership behaviors, a commitment to process excellence, and strict adherence to confidentiality and patient information accuracy.
Assignments may include working in a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.

Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials/signature after venipuncture to confirm proper labeling.

Maintain required records and documentation accurately.

Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Job Requirements:

Ability to perform high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts.

Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including dress code, health and safety, and guiding principles.

Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on established procedures.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with minimal notice.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Strong customer service and communication skills.
-
Ability to adapt to change and maintain transparency with peers, supervisors, and patients.

Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred (must also have strong written and spoken English skills).
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Education Requirements:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required – no exceptions).
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
-
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred.

Retail or service-based customer service experience highly preferred.

Keyboard and data entry experience required.
Additional Requirements:

Resume must include home city and commute time to the job site.

Candidates must live within a 20–25 minute commute of the assigned work location.

Compensation is based on years of direct experience (overlapping roles will not be counted twice).

Reliable personal transportation is required (bus, Uber, or rideshare are not considered reliable transportation).

Must be punctual, available as scheduled, and able to complete full shifts. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.
