Job Title: IT Help Desk Support (Onsite)

Location: 250 Campus Drive, Marlborough, MA 01752
Duration: April 22, 2025 – October 21, 2025 (Extension Possible)
Pay Rate: $30/hr
Shift: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Onsite Role – Must be able to lift 50 lbs



Role Overview:

We are seeking an entry-level IT Help Desk Support professional to provide day-to-day technical assistance and desktop support. The role includes handling break/fix tickets, assisting new hires, and supporting hardware/software installations. This is a hands-on position requiring excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, with some after-hours coverage on a rotational basis.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to help desk phone calls, tickets, and walk-up requests.

  • Troubleshoot issues and provide on-the-spot solutions where possible.

  • Route tickets to appropriate technicians or support groups.

  • Set up and support new hire IT equipment.

  • Provide local/remote support via Microsoft Teams.

  • Support and troubleshoot:

    • PC/laptop hardware and software

    • Printers, copiers, and other network peripherals

    • Enterprise/business applications

    • Telephone systems

  • Maintain and track loaner laptops and projectors.

  • Assist with hardware procurement, inventory, and disposal.

  • Travel to nearby Hologic sites as needed.




Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: BA/BS in MIS, CIS, or a related technical field preferred.

  • Experience: 0–1 year in IT Help Desk support (educational/informal experience accepted).

  • Proficient with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365.

  • Working knowledge of laptop and printer hardware.

  • Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange/O365.

  • Basic networking and wireless troubleshooting skills a plus.

  • Familiarity with IT service management tools (ServiceNow preferred).

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills.

  • Ability to follow standard processes and procedures.

  • Team-oriented with a customer service mindset.
