Location: Manahawkin, NJ
Duration: 3 Months + with possible extension
Travel Pay - $2856.96 weekly gross (Negotiable)
Pay Rate: $69 - $70/hr. (Negotiable)
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (hours may vary based on patient load)
Setting: Outpatient Clinic
Equipment: Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator
Scrub Color: Dark Gray

Responsible for delivering ionizing radiation treatments to patients in accordance with Radiation Oncologist prescriptions and simulation instructions. Ensures safe, accurate treatment delivery while maintaining high standards of patient care and documentation.

- Multiple openings in New York and New Jersey.
- Local/Travel Contracts available in multiple departments in all states.

Job Summary:
Responsible for delivering ionizing radiation treatments to patients in accordance with Radiation Oncologist prescriptions and simulation instructions. Ensures safe, accurate treatment delivery while maintaining high standards of patient care and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and monitor radiation therapy treatments using prescribed protocols
- Operate Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator and utilize ARIA system
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and patients for procedures
- Position and transfer patients accurately for treatment delivery
- Obtain and evaluate portal images; implement corrective actions as needed
- Perform dose calculations and monitor units as per protocol
- Document treatment details, setup instructions, and patient records accurately
- Ensure informed consent and educate patients on procedures
- Construct immobilization devices, shielding blocks, and apply bolus as required
- Maintain treatment schedules in coordination with patient flow
- Perform and document quality assurance procedures as per department policies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Monitor equipment functionality and report malfunctions
- Support patient care needs and provide education to patients and families
- Assist in training and mentoring students when required
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
- Active New Jersey Radiation Therapist license
- 1–2 years of Radiation Therapy experience (flexible up to 3–5 years)
- Experience with Varian/ARIA software
- CPR Certification
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, treatment delivery, and patient care
- Ability to lift/push/pull 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Prior outpatient or clinic experience
