Hours/Week: 40
Days: Weekdays (Monday through Friday)
Shift/Time Zone: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM, with rotational Saturdays
Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients to support their health routines and life-defining health decisions. In this role, the PSR I is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while adhering to established practices and procedures. The PSR I creates a professional, trustworthy atmosphere for patients by clearly explaining procedures, ensuring safety, and performing blood draws skillfully and accurately. This role requires demonstrated leadership behaviors, a focus on process excellence, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy when handling patient information.
Key responsibilities include:

Drawing blood specimens and processing both forensic and clinical samples in accordance with established procedures.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing.

Demonstrating professionalism and excellent communication skills when interacting with patients to ensure they are informed and comfortable.

Maintaining a safe, clean, and professional work environment while adhering to all relevant safety protocols.

Demonstrating organizational commitment and promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:

Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric populations.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as necessary based on staffing needs.

Strong customer service skills, preferably in a retail or service environment.

Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry.
Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent (Required).

Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic training) preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Work Experience:

Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience (Required).

Preferred: One or more years of phlebotomy experience.

Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is a plus.
