Cert Sterile Proc Tech
Duration - 3 months
Location - Austin TX 78717
Schedule - (1) 230-11pm & (1) 1030am to 7pm - Both Monday to Friday
Duties :
To provide for the efficient processing of instruments and sterilization throughout Client
"Processes decontaminated medical devices as they are received, according to established priorities, medical device IFU’s and best practices.
• Receives instruments from the decontamination area and processes appropriately.
• Performs physical and environmental duties as designated on a routine daily basis, including but not limited to cleaning
work space/instrument room/cabinets, emptying biohazards waste, monitoring sterilizers, and checking environmental
monitors.
• Completes sterilization processes.
• Performs high level disinfection.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including other essential instrument room duties."
Proficiency with:
- Steam, EO, and low-temp sterilization systems
- Washer/disinfector operations
- Ultrasonic cleaners
- Biological and chemical indicator testing
- 2 years’ Experience
- (1) 230-11pm & (1) 1030am to 7pm - Both Monday to Friday
• Knowledge of a wide variety of instrumentation used in the operating room and throughout the Hospital.
• Ability to operate all OR sterilization and processing equipment, to prioritize and organize, and to work independently with consistent supervision.
Education:
"Required - CRCST - Cert-Cert Reg Cent Ser TECH International Association of Healthcare Central
Service Material Management Or
Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution
Technician issued by The Certification Board
for Sterile Processing and Distribution"
Educational program completion for surgical
technologists which may include operating
room/surgical training completed in the army, navy, air
force, marine corps, or coast guard of the United States
or in the United States Public Health Service- REQUIRED 2 years Experience as a surgical technologist and has experience in two or more surgical specialties- REQUIRED
