Job Title: Sr. Project Manager
Job Location: San Francisco, CA
Job Duration: 3 Months (possibility of extension)
Payrate: $70 - $100/ hr on w2

This position will be supporting a global team, and flexible hours may be needed to support this project.

Job Summary:

  • The Sr. Project Manager (PM) will provide end to end project and program management leadership supporting FSD within BioProduction Strategic Project and Portfolio Management Team, fully owning the mechanisms which ensure successful project delivery.
  • The PM will lead cross-functional projects and programs with diverse internal teams ranging from Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Customer Excellence to meet project business objectives and metrics.
  • In this role, the PM will partner with Executive Sponsors to drive the execution of key strategic initiatives that span across the BioProduction group, divisions, and business units.
  • The successful PM will set-up and supervise the overall project schedule, communicate decision needs, control the budget, and monitor and report the progress of project phases and, achievement of milestones and communicate decision needs.
  • Business specific: Need to have experience with ERP. Converting data out of SAP into Oracle, and managing all the work streams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own end to end success of the project/program, ensuring accountability, execution of timelines, and continuous change management to deliver on-time, qualitative results.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within Product and budget.
  • Develop project Products and objectives, involving all relevant cross-functional stakeholders and ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Identify key issues and risks, recommend options which are supported by a clear fact set and analysis, facilitate and negotiate individual and team decisions.
  • Requires an understanding of stakeholder motivations, and, impacts to the organization, and when to escalate issues to higher levels of management.
  • Develop detailed project plans to track progress and action logs.
  • Lead project execution to ensure standard Project Management best practices are deployed.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Develop and lead the execution of change management plans, including functional training and internal/external communications.
  • Experience with challenging the current thought process of staff and status quo of business processes.
  • Effectively influence all levels of stakeholders in highly matrixed organization and project sponsor.

Education:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Science/Technical/Business discipline or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Several years (8+ years of) project management and team leadership experience with proven track record in successfully leading projects from start to finish.
  • Experience leading complex projects spanning over 6+ months.
  • Experience managing project budgets (CAPEX & OPEX) over $500k.
  • Experience managing projects that are Productd to return $2M + of benefit (NPV, Revenue Generation, Savings etc.) back to the business.
  • Ability to interface with varied audiences including senior leadership, influence,, and to work effectively in a matrix environment across different functional areas (product management, R&D, finance, commercial, operations, HR, etc.).
  • Ability to manage 2+ project global project/programs multiple projects and interface effectively with team members and across multiple different departments & regions/countries and time zones.
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Relevant experience with Lean / Six Sigma experience in an industrial environment is beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to work with peers at similar levels of the organization and report project status to Executive Leadership.
  • Strong familiarity with project management standards and methodologies including PMI Body of Knowledge.
  • Effective oral & and written communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Process oriented and structured working style and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Well organized with the ability to work under pressure and deliver work to highest standard.
  • Results-oriented team player who can build strong professional relationships.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, utilizing a disciplined approach to critical thought.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational influence skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management.
