Position Summary:
The Clerkship & Residency Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operational management and administrative coordination of the Internal Medicine (IM) Clerkship, Sub-Internship, and the Internal Medicine Residency Program. This role ensures compliance with LCME (Liaison Committee on Medical Education) standards for medical students and ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) requirements for residency training.
Reporting to senior leadership, the coordinator serves as a liaison between medical students, residents, faculty, and clinical staff. This position plays a critical role in supporting educational goals, maintaining accreditation standards, managing schedules, and facilitating program operations for both undergraduate and graduate medical education.

Key Responsibilities:
Clerkship & Sub-Internship (Medical Students):
- Coordinate and manage Internal Medicine and Sub-I clerkship schedules and rotations.
- Develop and deliver student orientation materials and promotional content.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance using feedback from faculty and residents.
- Address student behavioral concerns or professionalism issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Serve as liaison between students, residents, faculty, and academic administration.
- Ensure compliance with LCME requirements for clinical education and documentation.
- Support residency program leadership in coordinating day-to-day operations.
- Maintain compliance with ACGME accreditation standards.
- Manage evaluations, rotation schedules, and didactic sessions.
- Coordinate the Primary Care Track logistics and documentation.
- Lead residency recruitment efforts, including interview scheduling and communication with applicants.
- Track and report data for institutional and accreditation reporting.
- Support cross-coverage, event planning (e.g., graduation, retreats), and meeting preparation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, healthcare administration, public health, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of administrative experience in a medical education or academic healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with LCME and ACGME accreditation standards (strongly preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS); experience with New Innovations, MedHub, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Onsite presence required—remote or hybrid work not available for this role.
