Lab Assistant

Title: Lab Assistant
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 1-2 Months (Possible Extension/ Temp to Hire)
Shift: Tue-Sat 5 AM - 1:30 PM

Job Summary:
Support daily lab operations by performing routine tasks accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and prepare specimens for testing

• Perform centrifuging, labeling, aliquoting, and specimen storage/retrieval

• Prepare reagents and media

• Maintain instruments and equipment

• Record data (e.g., temperature logs)

• Handle QA/QC tasks and resolve pending lists

• Decontaminate work areas and dispose of biohazard materials

• Follow all PPE and safety protocols

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (medical assistant training helpful)

• Basic math and science knowledge preferred

• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and maintain accuracy
