Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Orlando, FL
Duration: 3+ Months
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for collecting blood specimens (clinical and forensic) and ensuring accurate processing for laboratory testing. This role requires direct patient interaction, maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy while creating a positive and safe patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws (including pediatric and geriatric patients) accurately and safely
- Process and prepare specimens following established procedures
- Maintain required documentation and records
- Provide excellent customer service and promote a positive company image
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Minimum 6 months of direct phlebotomy experience (1+ year preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA)
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred
- Strong data entry and keyboard skills
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Additional Details:
- Must live within 20–25 minutes of the Orlando, FL worksite (include home city/commute time on resume)
- Rate based on years of direct phlebotomy experience (overlapping roles do not count twice)
- Must have reliable personal transportation (no bus/Uber/rideshare)
- Must be punctual, reliable, and available to work scheduled shifts
- No excessive absenteeism or tardiness
- If currently a student, schedule must not conflict with shift hours
- This is a 3+ month assignment with consistent weekday morning hours.
