Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Tech II
About this role:
A Facilities Maintenance Technician II maintains facilities, facilities systems and equipment to provide a safe, efficient and comfortable workplace. The responsibilities will include operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of building facilities and equipment; move and installation of equipment; and other related duties. Provides technical assistance to engineering to support the facilities. Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve Facilities processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor controlled environment areas and rooms. Includes performing routine, regular daily checks for temperature, humidity, and static pressure, verifying HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems are working properly and performing routine preventative maintenance on all associated systems such as changing HEPA prefilters and lights.
Maintain HVAC systems to ensure that indoor environments are comfortable and in compliance with production requirements. Includes making daily rounds of all systems, performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs. Coordinate work with outside HVAC service providers as needed.
Coordinate the installation of all types of equipment. Includes planning and installing all needed services and equipment (plumbing, electrical, ventilation, DI water, high- and low-pressure vacuum).
Work with local agencies to ensure all safety and compliance requirements are being met
Perform relocation of office furniture and/or equipment as needed.
Write and maintain effective processes for all related equipment and procedures.
Available to support service calls of third-party vendors
May execute on preventive maintenance work orders related to production equipment.
Expected to support and serve on teams or committees such a s Safety Team, Margin Improvement and PMO/Engineering etc.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience managing a facility and/or warehouse
3+ Experience planning and ordering necessary materials to support job function
Must be hands on and mechanically inclined
Ability to learn new processes & software
Able to work 1st shift 6 am to 2:30 pm ET with occasional weekend and OT requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with managing teams with and without direct reporting authority
Competent with Microsoft suite; Outlook, Excel, Word
Competency with BMRAM, Service Zone, etc.
Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
