About this Role:
- A Facilities Maintenance Technician II maintains facilities, facility systems, and equipment to provide a safe, efficient, and comfortable workplace.
- Responsibilities include operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of building facilities and equipment, moving and installing equipment, and other related duties.
- Provides technical assistance to engineering to support facilities and assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve facilities processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor controlled environment areas and rooms, performing routine checks for temperature, humidity, and static pressure; verify HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems are working properly; perform routine preventative maintenance such as changing HEPA prefilters and lights.
- Maintain HVAC systems to ensure indoor environments are comfortable and compliant with production requirements, including daily system rounds, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs. Coordinate work with outside HVAC service providers as needed.
- Coordinate installation of all types of equipment, planning and installing necessary services (plumbing, electrical, ventilation, DI water, high- and low-pressure vacuum).
- Work with local agencies to ensure all safety and compliance requirements are met.
- Perform relocation of office furniture and/or equipment as needed.
- Write and maintain effective processes for all related equipment and procedures.
- Available to support service calls of third-party vendors.
- Execute preventive maintenance work orders related to production equipment.
- Expected to support and serve on teams or committees such as Safety Team, Margin Improvement, and PMO/Engineering.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing a facility and/or warehouse.
- 3+ years of experience planning and ordering necessary materials to support job function.
- Hands-on and mechanically inclined.
- Ability to learn new processes and software.
- Able to work 1st shift (6 AM – 2:30 PM ET) with occasional weekend and OT requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing teams with and without direct reporting authority.
- Competent with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Competency with BMRAM, Service Zone, etc.
Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.
