We are currently looking for a passionate Research Technician to join our BioMonitoring R&D Team in Saint Louis, MO. In this role, you will play a crucial part in expanding our food pathogen diagnostics portfolio, supporting development projects, and contributing to our BioMonitoring strategy. As a member of our global cross-functional team, you will have the opportunity to help drive innovative projects, analyze data, and engage in scientific discussions. Description:
- Must Have PCR/QPCR experience
- Must Have experience in BSL2 environment
- Aseptic Technique
- Assisting scientist with food study/ Perform background research/ General lab maintenance
- Have strong lab experience
- Microbiology and molecular biology would be a plus
- Requires working in BSL2 lab environment and comfortable wearing PPE at all times
- Will be working with food pathogens. (**must be comfortable working with food bacterial pathogens)

Who You Are:
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Microbiology) with 1-3 years of lab-based Life Science and molecular biology experience
- Molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR) and experience with molecular instrumentation (experience with automation a plus)
- Ability and experience with working within a team-based Biosafety Hazard Level II laboratory environment, working in compliance with associated safety guidelines
- Ability to lift 15 - 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive practice in aseptic technique.
- Experience in qPCR and analysis
- Experience in experimental planning, data interpretation, and proposing next steps to management
- Experience in food microbiology and diagnostics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel strongly preferred
- Strong motivation, attention to detail, and ability to think independently and fully integrate into a high achieving team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a diverse team environment
- Flexibility and ability to perform in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to execute and troubleshoot experiments independently
- Experience in Good Documentation Practices within a research environment.
