Actual Job Title: Metrologist
Pay Ranges:
$22-$25 (for Associates Degree holders)
$25-$30 (for Bachelors Degree holders)
Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
Perform tasks assigned and update records for scheduled upkeep of metrology tools
Complete validation procedures for equipment to demonstrate high accuracy and repeatability
Execute measurements efficiently and on-schedule according to best practices
Verify, track and manage regular calibration of *** equipment to Product measurement quality
Complete assigned inspection/measurement reports
Required:
Independent critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making
Good verbal / written skills, teamwork capabilities
Basic knowledge of CMM, measurement hand tools and other metrology equipment
Basic knowledge of 2D drawings (notes, views, legends)
Demonstrated skills in report writing and documentation
Independent management, understanding of priorities in own work queue
Preferred:
ASQ certified quality inspector
Basic knowledge of 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Polyworks, and others)
Basic knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
Proficient in Gage R&R Studies and other SPC methods
1-2 years of lab experience a plus.
Education: Entry level AS or BS in related Engineering field.
