Title: Lead Medical Technologist
Shift: Monday- Friday 7-3:30 or 8-4, on call
Contract Length: 3 months
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Job Description:
Under administrative direction, the Lead CLS is responsible for laboratory operations and personnel performing testing.
Serves as lead technologist for assigned hospital/ sections of the laboratory and performs related administrative duties, provides technical oversight to assure a high quality of laboratory testing for patient care.
Performs analysis in microbiology according to expected performance standards and has broad decision-making authority, and independence.
Facility Requirements:
Must have B.S. or equivalent in Medical Technology or related clinical field
Must have ASCP certification, this must be attached to the submission
Must have CA Clinical Lab Scientist license; this must be attached to the submission
Must have BLS certification (Must be through the American Heart Association)
Must have 5 years lab supervisory experience
Must have knowledge of Blood Bank, UA, CBC & ISTAT experience
Shifts will be Monday- Friday 7-3:30 or 8-4, on call
