Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Wesley Chapel, FL
Duration: 3 months
Shift: Eastern, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Mon–Fri) + every 3rd Saturday (6:30 AM – 12:30 PM)
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) is responsible for collecting blood specimens and supporting patient care with professionalism and accuracy. This role involves direct patient interaction, ensuring a safe, comfortable experience while following established procedures for specimen collection and processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws (including pediatric and geriatric patients)
- Prepare and label specimens for lab testing
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Follow safety, confidentiality, and quality standards
- Provide excellent patient service and clear communication
- Work independently and meet daily operational goals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (1+ year preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred)
- Medical assistant/paramedic training (preferred)
- Strong data entry and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours (weekends/holidays as needed)
