Job Title: Measurement Technician

Pay range: $28 - $31/hr. on w2
Job Purpose:
This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.

Job Purpose:
This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
- Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures.
- Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
- Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
- Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
- Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
- Act as a resource to other employees.
- Communicate project status to project teams.
- Experience with metrology. Specifically, developing dimensional measurement methods for manufactured medical device products.
- Prior experience making measurement programs with measurement systems
- For this roll, programming Keyence IM, Keyence LM, and Visicon equipment would be most helpful.
- Prior experience with other measurement systems would also be helpful, including: SmartProduct, CMM (Zeiss, Hexagon), CT Scanner, O-Inspect, Keyence VK, VR, VH, VL, XGX.
- Experience developing measurement recipes using measurement equipment. Familiarity with different software tools and good practices when developing inspection recipes.
- Examples include use of datums, pattern matching tools, and when automated versus operator assisted inspections are best.
- Data analysis - determining pass/fail dispositioning of parts based on measurement results. Sorting measurement data in Microsoft Excel and calculating simple statistics (min/max/ave), conditional formatting, and pivot tables. Experience with Minitab is a plus.
- Experimentation – experience conducting experiments, varying different process inputs and testing for different outputs. Experience conducting GR&R tests.
Qualifications
- AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
