Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: North Fort Myers, FL
Duration: 4 months, possibility of extension
Schedule: Monday – Saturday (rotational Saturdays)
Hours/Week: 40 hours
Shift:
- Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Rotational Saturday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Time Zone: Eastern
We are currently seeking a dedicated and dependable Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) to join our team in North Fort Myers, FL. This full-time, temporary role is essential in providing quality specimen collection services in a high-volume outpatient setting. The PSR I will be the first point of contact for patients and must consistently deliver professional, compassionate, and efficient service. Candidates must have reliable transportation, live within 20–25 minutes of the site, and be committed to punctuality and attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection, including venipuncture on a diverse patient population.
- Greet and interact with patients in a professional, courteous, and empathetic manner.
- Accurately label specimens and maintain all required records and documentation.
- Ensure a safe, organized, and compliant collection environment.
- Follow all established protocols, safety standards, and confidentiality regulations.
- Demonstrate reliability and flexibility with scheduling, including rotational Saturday shifts.
- Promote a positive company image with patients, clients, and coworkers.
Job Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills across patient age ranges including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to accommodate weekend, holiday, or on-call needs as required.
- Must be on time, stay for the entire shift, and maintain consistent attendance.
- Must have reliable, personal transportation—rideshare and public transport are not considered dependable for this role.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on phlebotomy experience required
- One year or more of experience preferred, especially in outpatient or high-volume settings
- Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or service industries preferred
- Must be proficient with keyboard/data entry systems
Additional Notes:
- Rate of pay will be based on years of direct, non-overlapping phlebotomy experience.
- Only candidates within a 20–25 minute commute radius will be considered.
