Phlebotomist II - Float

Job Title: Patient Services Representative II (Phlebotomist)
Location: Ocala, FL
Duration: 3 Months
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift between 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Rotational Saturdays

Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is responsible for collecting blood samples, preparing specimens for testing, and providing excellent patient care. This role involves direct patient interaction, ensuring accuracy, safety, and confidentiality while performing phlebotomy procedures in a professional healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws (venipuncture, capillary) on patients of all ages
• Prepare and label specimens accurately for lab testing
• Verify patient information and maintain proper documentation
• Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment
• Provide clear communication and build patient trust
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Travel between locations as needed (floater role possible)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience (required)
• Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
• Customer service experience preferred
• Medical assistant/paramedic training and phlebotomy certification preferred
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and travel between sites
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
