Job Title: AMG Medical Assistant
Location: Clinton Township, MI 48038
Duration: 3+ Months contract (Possible Extension)
Schedule Notes: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM , Wednesday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Job Summary:
Assists physicians with patient examinations and treatments. Performs basic clinical and clerical duties under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with treatments ordered by the physician
- Perform basic clinical tasks as directed
- Interview patients and collect medical information
- Measure and record vital signs
- Document information in patient charts
- Prepare exam rooms for patient visits
- Answer phones and perform clerical duties
- Maintain patient records and filing
- Order, stock, and manage medical supplies
- Keep work areas clean and organized
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent OR 1 year of relevant work experience
- Note: Required certifications may substitute for education or experience
Required Certification:
- BLS Provider Certification
Experience Preferences:
- Experience in internal medicine or family medicine preferred
- Must be a self-starter with good communication skills and dependable work habits
