Phlebotomist I

Overview:
The PSR I is the frontline representative for patients, responsible for collecting blood samples and preparing them for lab testing. This role ensures high-quality care, maintains patient trust, and follows all safety and procedural guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws (phlebotomy) on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

• Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis

• Explain procedures to patients with professionalism and care

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

• Ensure a clean, safe, and professional work environment

• Demonstrate leadership, confidentiality, and attention to detail

• Support operational excellence with minimal supervision

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)

  • Medical assistant or paramedic training (PREFERRED)

  • Phlebotomy certification (REQUIRED in CA, NV, WA; preferred elsewhere)

• Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months required

  • 1+ year phlebotomy experience preferred

  • Customer service and data entry experience preferred

• Skills:

  • Strong phlebotomy skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexibility for weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts
