Actual Job Title: Maintenance Technician
3-4 month contract
Monday, Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Job Summary:
Responsible for production related equipment. Including corrective and preventative maintenance of complex, automated process machines, (PLC s, sensors, controllers, optic systems), laboratory equipment. Contractor safety and maintenance related EHS procedures. Maintains CMMS and spare parts program.
Essential functions or specific responsibilities:
Customer service oriented; must work well with others. and be able to work independently.
Must be comfortable with a fast paced, dynamic environment with frequent changes in priority.
Keep an organized and clean workspace.
Responsible for ongoing preventive and corrective maintenance program of all production, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Knows how process equipment is supposed to operate and can independently detect, troubleshoot, and repair when it does not.
Manages technical publication library and spare parts program.
Interprets mechanical specifications and operational manuals needed for the proper maintenance and repair of equipment.
Can work with manufacturers remotely to rectify machine issues.
Responsible for facilitates contractor safety and safe work permit safety processes.
Responsible for implementation of additional EHS procedures such as Lock Out Tag Out, Ozone depleting chemicals and proper disposal of maintenance waste.
Inspects building and equipment for safety issues and reports deficiencies.
Performs related repairs as required to correct.
Inspects facility regularly and reports need for major repairs and obtains quotations from approved suppliers for submission to leadership.
Qualify new suppliers as needed.
Be a primary contact for alarm, backup power, supplier, and secondary contact for emergency personnel.
Performs other duties as delegated, assigned and required.
Education/ Technical Skills Requirements:
Education:
Minimum of a High School education, but preferably an associate degree in a related Mechanical/Maintenance area
Experience:
Combination of education, experience and/or licenses to demonstrate proficiency and the ability to manage a facility maintenance process and complete all necessary maintenance. Minimum of 5 years directly related; hands-on experience required.
Strong working knowledge of environmental, health and safety requirements applicable to facility engineering required.
Must be proficient with email communication and Microsoft office software
Physical Position Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must not be color blind, physically able to Client, crouch, bend, climb 20-foot fixed ladder and reach.
