Phlebotomist I

Location: Sunrise, FL
Duration: 4+ Months (Potential for Extension)
Shift:

• Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Saturday: 6:30 AM – 11:30 AM

The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, providing essential services to patients seeking routine health checks or critical diagnostic insights. This role involves collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing them for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and compassionate patient experience.

• Perform daily tasks accurately and punctually under the supervision of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment.
• Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
• Accurately maintain records and documentation.
• Foster trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort during specimen collection.
• Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
• Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)

Experience:

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment (Preferred)
• Keyboard/data entry proficiency (Required)

• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Reliable transportation (rideshare/bus not considered reliable).
• Must reside within a 20–25 minute commute from the job site.
• Punctuality and full-shift availability are mandatory; excessive tardiness or absenteeism may result in termination.
