Phlebotomist III - Floater
Job Location: Charleston SC
Job Duration: 10 Months
Shift: 7am - 5pm M-F
Overview
The PSR III serves as the face of our company to patients, supporting them through routine health visits and life-defining health decisions. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring an atmosphere of trust, confidence, and professionalism. The PSR III may be assigned to a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations as business needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily activities accurately, on time, and under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, professional, and organized work environment.

Draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately from pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.

Verify patient demographic information, initials, and signature post-venipuncture to ensure specimen labels are correct.

Maintain required records and documentation with confidentiality and accuracy.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence.

Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Education & Certification

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Medical assistant or paramedic training.

Required in CA, NV, and WA: Phlebotomy certification.
Experience
-
Required: Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Preferred: Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment.

Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience preferred.
Additional Job Details

Candidates must list home city and commute time on the resume (within 20–25 minutes of site).

Pay rate based on years of direct phlebotomy experience (overlapping roles do not count twice).

Students must ensure school schedules do not conflict with work schedule.

Must have reliable transportation to the worksite (bus, rideshare, or Uber not considered reliable).
-
Punctuality and full-shift attendance are mandatory; excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination.

Floaters must travel between multiple sites and be on time for assigned locations.
-
Mileage can be submitted for travel between sites, not from home.

Training locations may vary depending on trainer availability.
