Job Summary:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required.
- Hazardous Analysis of Criticial Control Point (HAACP) training to be obtained after hire.
- Ability to follow a recipe and scale.
- Basic knowledge of food allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Reviews menus daily to determine quanitities of food and supplies needed.
- Prepares food for cafeteria, patient food service and catering using creativity, quality, consistency and promptness.
- Follow and comply with recipe standards.
- Monitors and replenishes food as needed for cafeteria, catering or patient trays.
- Ensures food is being handled and stored to Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HAACP) guidelines.
- Operates various types of kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness. Records temperatures of refrigerators.
- Ensures equipment is in good working condition.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.
- Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
- See and read computer monitors and documents.
- Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
- May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- One (1) year food service experience in healthcare facility, such as health care food service is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in food preparation, preferably in a healthcare setting is preferred.
