Requirements

Must hold one of the following certifications: CBSPD, CRCST, CSPDT, CST

Minimum 2 years of experience in sterile processing

Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician II performs duties related to cleaning, sterilization, processing, organizing, and distributing patient equipment, instruments, and supplies. This role may also serve as a resource for Sterile Processing Technician I staff.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare rooms and organize instruments, equipment, and supplies for departments.

Clean and decontaminate instruments, containers, and patient equipment using detergents and disinfectants in compliance with regulatory standards and policies.

Operate semi-automatic and automatic sterilization equipment and washers.

Inventory, order, replenish, and distribute instruments and medical supplies for general and surgical use.

Maintain records, files, and inventory control.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, manufacturer, and infection control practices.

Provide in-service training, mentorship, and serve as a resource for Level I staff.
