Shift: 1st Shift - Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm Rot Saturdays 8 am – 1 pm
NY License/ Certification – YES


Pay Rate: $21/hr. on W2
 
Position Summary:
  • The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the primary point of contact for patients and represents the company in a professional and compassionate manner. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing while following established procedures. The PSR I creates a safe, trusting, and respectful environment for patients, explaining procedures clearly and performing specimen collection accurately and efficiently. This position emphasizes leadership behaviors, process excellence, patient confidentiality, and data accuracy.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
  • Draw quality blood samples using proper clinical and forensic collection techniques
  • Prepare and process specimens according to established procedures
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and confidence during collection
  • Maintain accurate records and required documentation
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all safety and regulatory standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
 
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed
 
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Medical training preferred (Medical Assistant or Paramedic)
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Required in California, Nevada, and Washington
 
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience required
  • 1+ year phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred (phlebotomy and/or healthcare environment).
