Scheduling Coordinator
Job Title: Scheduling Coordinator
Location: Paramus, NJ, 07652
Duration: 07/07/2025 – 10/04/2025
Shift: Flex Shifts
Schedule: 5 days/week, 40 hours/week

Mon–Fri with the following rotating shifts:
• 6:45 AM–3:15 PM (2 days/week)
• 10:30 AM–7:00 PM (2 days/week)
• 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Fridays) -
No weekends, no holidays, no on-call

Will occasionally travel to Montvale, NJ
Pay Rate: $22/hr.
Job Summary:
• Coordinates all aspects of tests, procedures, and surgeries under supervision
• Schedules procedures per facility guidelines and ensures proper surgical equipment is ordered
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance; obtains pre-certifications
• Manages physician calendar and adjusts as needed
• Communicates surgical preparation details to patients
• Arranges co-surgeons/assistants, lab/nuclear medicine coordination
• Ensures documentation completion (consent, H&P, orders) and distributes accordingly
• Coordinates pre-op, clearance, and PAT appointments
• Maintains block time, tracks surgical/post-op care and pathology results
• Reconciles billing, posts charges, and collaborates with coding
• Provides exceptional patient service and adapts to scheduling/coverage needs
• May attend hospital surgical meetings and provide cross-coverage
Required Skills & Experience:
• Two years of related experience
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a changing environment
Preferred Skills & Experience:
• 2 years of progressive experience in a medical office
• Proficient in medical terminology and HIPAA
• Surgical coding knowledge (CPT and ICD-10)
Education:
• High School Diploma/GED or HiSET (High School Equivalency Test)
