Phlebotomist II

The PSR II is the face of the organization, responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing them for lab testing. This role involves direct patient interaction, requiring professionalism, confidence, and a high level of skill. PSR IIs may work in doctor’s offices, Patient Service Centers (PSCs), or other locations as business needs require.

• Perform daily activities accurately and timely under supervisor direction.

• Maintain a safe and professional work environment.

• Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection duties per standard procedures.

• Verify patient demographic information and tube labeling post-venipuncture, including signature verification.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

• Provide superior customer service and promote a positive company image.

• Explain procedures and build trust and confidence with patients.

• Travel as needed to cover multiple locations with minimal notice.

• Adhere to company Policies & Procedures and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.

• High-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

• Superior customer focus with strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Must be flexible and available, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

• Able to make sound decisions using established procedures and good judgment.

• Strong commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).

• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.

• Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
