POSITION SUMMARY
The Inventory Manager is responsible for clinical material inventory management within the Verve Therapeutics Supply Chain & Operations team. Operating in a fully outsourced CDMO model, this individual will serve as the operational backbone for ensuring clinical drug product and materials are inventoried accurately, shipped reliably, and managed aProductst expiry timelines with precision.

The Inventory Manager is responsible for clinical material inventory management within the Verve Therapeutics Supply Chain & Operations team. Operating in a fully outsourced CDMO model, this individual will serve as the operational backbone for ensuring clinical drug product and materials are inventoried accurately, shipped reliably, and managed aProductst expiry timelines with precision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Management
- Own real-time inventory tracking across CDMO sites, warehouses, and clinical depots
- Maintain inventory records in alignment with Client system, ensuring accuracy across all stock locations
- Manage safety stock monitoring, stock replenishment triggers, and inventory reconciliation aProductst supply plan
- Develop and maintain inventory KPIs including days of supply, stockout risk, and expiry exposure
- Manage expiry tracking for drug product and critical materials; implement FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) discipline
- Develop expiry risk dashboards and escalation protocols for materials approaching use-by windows
- Coordinate retest/re-evaluation activities with QA and CDMO partners where shelf-life extensions are applicable
- Maintain material disposition records in alignment with GMP requirements
- Coordinate cold chain shipments for clinical materials with logistics department
- Serve as operational point of contact for storage depots
- Support investigation and CAPA for logistics deviations affecting material integrity
- Coordinate purchase orders and goods receipt through Client Procurement (Ariba) for clinical materials
- Track PO status and ensure timely receipt closure aligned to MRP-driven demand signals from supply planning
- Support contract and purchase order setup for new CDMOs or material suppliers during program expansion
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Life Sciences, Logistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain, clinical logistics, or materials management
- Proficiency with ERP/inventory management systems (SAP preferred)
- Familiarity with biologics or cell/gene therapy cold chain requirements (cryogenic/ULT)
- Experience with Ariba or similar procurement platforms
- APICS CPIM, CCLP, or equivalent cold chain certification
