Software Engineer
Job Title: Software Engineer Cell DIVE
Location: Onsite- Client, WA 98006
Duration: 7months W2 contract with high possibility of extension based on performance and business needs
Pay Rate: $85.85/hr on W2
Job Summary
As a Software Engineer for Cell DIVE, you will work with a small development team responsible for creating, expanding, and supporting the existing codebase using WPF/WCF and C#.
What You ll Do:
Develop .NET C# WPF/WCF software used in the image acquisition and post-processing steps of biological fluorescent imaging workflows.
Support existing code fixing defects looking for opportunities to refactor and optimize.
Support tech debt discussions and implementation.
Work with image acquisition systems including capture, manipulation, and optimization of image data.
Help the team to improve the technical quality of their work through regular technical design and code reviews.
Participate in an Agile environment contributing to the entire SDLC process.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:

Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Major

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of Software Development experience architecting and maintaining thin/thick clients and APIs

Strong technical contributor with a proven track record of using expertise to help the team

Extensive experience with WCF, WPF, MVVM, MEF

Extensive experience with .NET, .NET Core, C#, Visual Studio

Willingness to work onsite at Client, WA

Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)

Experience with version control systems (SVN, git, GitHub, SourceTree, etc.)

Experience working with Microsoft Visual Studio development environment
