Phlebotomist II
Duration: 1-2 months
Location: Jefferson City MO
Shift: 7:30am-4:30pm M-F
Position Overview:
The PSR II serves as the face of the company for patients visiting for routine care or important health diagnostics. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while following established procedures. The PSR II builds trust with patients, communicates effectively, and ensures a safe, professional, and confidential environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional workspace.

Confidently carry out forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.

Verify patient demographic information, obtain signatures, and confirm accurate labeling of samples post-venipuncture.

Maintain proper documentation and records.

Provide exceptional customer service and represent the organization positively to all patients and clients.

Travel to multiple locations, including Patient Service Centers and In-Office Phlebotomy sites, often with minimal notice.
Leadership & Professionalism:

Job Requirements:
Skills & Abilities:

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Able to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing situations.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts.

Additional Requirements:

Education:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:

Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience.
