Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: New York, NY || Long Island City, NY || Brooklyn, NY
Contract Duration: 3 Months+
 
Department: Radiology Diagnostic
Shift Hours:
  • Mon – Fri, 4 pm – 12 am, 40 hours/week.
  • Mon – Fri, 12 am – 8 am, 40 hours/week.
  • SAT & SUN, 8 am – 8 pm, 24 hours/week.
  • SAT & SUN, 8 pm – 8 am, 24 hours/week.
 
Hours Per Week: Part Time and Full-Time hours
Pay Rate: $70 - $75/hr. on W2 (Negotiable)
(Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates.)
STIPEND IS ALSO PROVIDED TO THE CANDIDATE LIVING MORE THAN 50 MILES FROM THE FACILITY.
 
Role Overview:
The CT Technologist will perform diagnostic CT procedures using appropriate imaging techniques and protocols, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images. The role requires a strong focus on patient care, safety, and adherence to radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle). Candidates must have hands-on CT experience and be familiar with radiopharmaceutical handling and scanner equipment used by the client.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize proper kV and mA techniques to produce high-quality CT images.
  • Perform daily equipment calibration and quality control checks.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals per physician order and protocol.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with department and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance and safety tests; adhere to radiation safety guidelines.
  • Retrieve, maintain, and process patient imaging data for radiologist interpretation.
  • Order and verify patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses and activity levels before use.
  • Ensure safe handling and receipt verification of radiopharmaceuticals.
 
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Licensure:
  • New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.)
 
Certifications:
  • ARRT certification in Radiography.
  • ARRT certification in CT.
  • BLS certification.
 
Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
 
Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of CT experience required.
  • 2 years CT experience preferred.
  • Experience with Client scanner systems highly preferred.
 
Skills:
  • Ability to follow CT imaging protocols accurately.
  • Strong patient care and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and quality control procedures.
