Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Conyers, GA
Job Duration: 4+ months (possible extension)
Shift: 8:45am-5:15pm EST Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Position Overview
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the public-facing representative of the company, interacting directly with patients during routine visits and important healthcare decisions. The role involves performing skilled and accurate blood collection (phlebotomy), specimen processing, and ensuring a professional, safe, and supportive patient experience.
The PSR II is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors, maintain confidentiality, and ensure accuracy in all patient-related information and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily assigned tasks accurately and within required timelines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures
- Verify patient identity and demographic information prior to specimen labeling
- Ensure patient signatures and proper tube labeling are completed in patient presence
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and supervisors
- Provide a positive, professional image to patients and the public
- Work independently with minimal supervision while following protocols
- Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
- Travel and work across multiple locations as needed
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, WA)
