Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative III - Floater (PSR III) plays a crucial role in delivering quality patient care and is the face of the company. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, processing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining patient trust by ensuring a safe, accurate, and skillful collection process.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform blood specimen collection and processing in forensic and clinical settings.

Verify patient information (demographics, initials, signatures) for accurate labeling of blood tubes.

Explain procedures to patients in a calm, clear, and confident manner.

Maintain required records and documentation.

Uphold policies and ensure a professional environment while focusing on accuracy and confidentiality of patient information.

Demonstrate leadership, process excellence, and sensitivity to patient needs.

Travel between multiple locations as needed, offering flexibility and reliability.
Job Requirements:

Work Environment: Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Independence: Must be able to work with minimal on-site supervision.

Skills:

Excellent phlebotomy skills (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).

Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients.

Ability to embrace change and demonstrate knowledge of the business.

Flexibility: Must be available for weekend shifts, holidays, and on-call work.

Transportation: Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.

Travel: Must be willing to travel between various work locations and adjust to different shifts with minimal notice.

Must be punctual and have a reliable record of attendance.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in high-volume settings.

Required Education and Experience:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
-
At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Mileage Reimbursement: Floaters are eligible to submit mileage for reimbursement.
