Phlebotomist
Job Summary
Under general supervision and in accordance with established procedures, performs routine laboratory activities including patient registration, venipuncture, computer data entry, and other related clinical laboratory functions.
Duties & Responsibilities

Receive and register patients.

Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection.

Enter patient and specimen data into the computer system.

Conduct routine laboratory clinical support functions.

Round within the clinic to collect specimens and transport them to the main laboratory.

Draw approximately 2025 tubes per session as required.
Education
Required:
-
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Preferred:
-
Completion of a Medical Assistant or Certified Phlebotomy training program
Certifications & Licensure
Required:
-
Valid, unrestricted Michigan Drivers License
-
Must be insurable by HFMG Insurance Carrier
Required Skills & Experience
-
6 months to 1 year of on-the-job venipuncture experience required
-
Minimum of 5 years of overall experience preferred per manager
-
Previous computer experience preferred
Compensation Note
This is the pay range the client (a part of Magnit) reasonably expects to offer for this position. As a supplier, your pay range may vary and/or include additional benefits such as stipends (for clinical traveler workers only), Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).
