Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Cumming GA
Duration: 6 months of Contract with (temp-to-hire)
Shift: Mon-Fri 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Overview:
The PSR II serves as the face of the company to patients, assisting with routine health services and critical health decisions. The role includes drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring patient comfort, safety, and trust. The PSR II demonstrates leadership, process excellence, and strict confidentiality while working in a variety of patient-facing settings, including doctor’s offices and patient service centers.




Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

  • Maintain a safe, professional, and organized environment.

  • Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials/signatures post-venipuncture to ensure correct labeling of specimens.

  • Maintain required records, documentation, and compliance with SOPs.

  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

  • Provide superior customer service and maintain trust with patients while explaining procedures.




Job Requirements:

  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

  • Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

  • Commitment to all company policies, including dress code, health & safety, and guiding principles.

  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.

  • Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if applicable).

  • Travel to multiple locations and cover Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations on short notice.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

  • Superior customer focus, open and transparent communication, adaptability to change, and business knowledge.




Education & Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.




Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.




Additional Requirements:

  • Must list home city and commute time to jobsite on resume (commute must be 20–25 minutes).

  • Reliable transportation required.

  • Must be punctual, work entire scheduled shifts, and have minimal absenteeism.

  • Compliance with:

    • 10 Panel Drug Screen, Hepatitis B vaccination, MMR vaccination, TB screening
