Manager - FSQA Program Compliance
Location: Remote

We are looking for a detail-oriented and systems-savvy FSQA Program Manager to support food safety and quality program execution across our national network of fresh food manufacturing facilities. This role will focus on the development, maintenance, and improvement of FSQA documentation systems and tools that drive regulatory compliance and operational consistency. The ideal candidate is eager to grow into a strategic systems role while delivering immediate, hands-on support for FSQA programs and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Systems, Analytics & Recall Readiness

  • Support the transition from manual to cloud-based FSQA documentation systems (e.g., SAP, SharePoint, QMS tools).
  • Configure and maintain digital forms, logs, workflows, and dashboards to ensure records are standardized, audit-ready, and accessible across all sites.
  • Assist in building dashboards and reporting tools that track and trend food safety metrics (e.g., CCP deviations, sanitation results, audit scores).
  • Contribute to the development of analytical capabilities and KPIs that enable FSQA teams to monitor performance and verify compliance.
  • Assist in executing and documenting mock recalls to validate traceability and support recall readiness across sites.

System Design & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with FSQA managers and site teams to evaluate existing documentation processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Help create and pilot standardized templates for quality checks, sanitation verification, traceability, and new product launches.
  • Recommend enhancements to workflows and documentation that improve usability and strengthen food safety controls.

Regulatory & Permitting Support

  • Maintain permitting logs and ensure documentation is current with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements (USDA, FDA, health departments).
  • Support the preparation and renewal of permits and organize records for easy access during inspections and audits.

Audit Readiness & Compliance Reporting

  • Assist FSQA teams in preparing for internal and external audits, including documentation review, record retrieval, and CAPA tracking.
  • Support the development and reporting of compliance KPIs across sites to ensure program effectiveness and transparency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
  • 24 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance within a food manufacturing environment (fresh, RTH, or RTC preferred).
  • HACCP certification required.
  • Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Familiarity with GFSI schemes (e.g., SQF, BRC) and FSMA requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, trend analysis) required.
  • Experience working with cloud-based documentation and quality management systems (e.g., SAP, SharePoint, QMS platforms).
  • Ability to assist in the development of performance dashboards and compliance KPIs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects or initiatives in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and maintain documentation systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to support documentation development and cross-site coordination.
  • Comfortable working across FSQA, Operations, R&D, and Regulatory teams to implement programs and gather feedback.
