Position Overview:
- The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the maintenance and efficient operation of the facility.
- This role involves preventative maintenance, painting, assembly, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
- The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of both hand tools and power tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks including painting, assembly, and general upkeep.
- Ensure that all work areas are clean, safe, and organized.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely to complete assigned tasks.
- Assist with the installation and assembly of furniture, equipment, and other items as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure facility needs are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
Work Environment:
- The role may require working in various environments including indoors and outdoors.
- May involve exposure to hazards such as chemicals, electrical components, and machinery.
- Requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
