Technician - R&D Technician II
Job Title: R&D Technician – Medical Device Testing
Location: Onsite, Arden Hills, MN
Pay Rate: Max $26.00/hr (Higher rates will be disqualified)
Duration: Possible extension/temp-to-hire (budget dependent)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced R&D Technician to perform bench testing, device failure analysis, and test method development for medical devices. This role requires strong hands-on lab experience, the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions, and reliable, high-quality testing execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct R&D Bench Testing – Perform independent testing with accurate, high-quality results.
Follow Test Methods – Work with written procedures and verbal instructions to execute tests.
Document & Summarize Findings – Create datasheets and archive experimental data for engineers.
Assist with Test Method Development – Support engineering staff in refining R&D testing processes.
Perform Device Failure Analysis – Analyze failed medical devices to determine root causes.
Manage Workload – Take direction from multiple engineers and prioritize tasks effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent experience in a related field. No Bachelors degree.
1+ year of experience in an R&D or testing environment.
Familiarity with regulated environments (FDA, ISO, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical device industry experience.
Test method development experience.
Device failure analysis experience.
Additional Notes:
No bachelor's degree candidates – Experienced technicians only.

Interview Process:
