Job Description:
- Medical Technologist demonstrates critical thinking skills, judgement and leadership in the practice of laboratory technology.
- The Medical Technologist is responsible and accountable for the efficient planning, directing and accurate provision of all laboratory testing in assigned area of licensure.
- The Medical Technician practices in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, regulatory standards, recognized testing techniques and administrative policies.
Facility Requirements:
- Must have 5 years recent experience as a Medical Technologist.
- Must have their ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist, this must be attached to the submission packet.
- Must have BLS certification must be attached to the submission (Must be through the American Heart Association).
- Must have experience in blood bank, MTS gel & tube methods.
- Must have experience with Client hematology, (520 and 690), manual differential, body fluid cell count and diff procedures, Werfen Top coagulation instrumentation & urine microscopic procedures.
