Job Duration: 7 months (high chance of extension)
Shift time: Mon - Fri 11:00 pm - 7:30 am with Saturdays rotation.
Pay range: $20.70 - $24.14/hr. on W2.

Job Description:
- Responsible for general support functions within the Specimen Processing Department.
- Functions performed may include but are not limited to A-station, presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation and aliquoting.
- All functions must be performed with confidence, accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Employee must have good organization skills and is able to learn and understand specimen types related to test(s) ordered by client.
- Must have the ability to learn and understand the compliance regulations related to test ordering which may change daily.
- Flexibility on the part of the Specimen Technician is required.
- The Specimen Technician will be exposed to many different demands made by the customer.
- Basic understanding of computers with a preferred knowledge of laboratory testing and/or laboratory specimen processing
Previous laboratory experience required.
- Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
- Previous hospital laboratory experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in a production environment preferred.
