Phlebotomist II

The PSR II serves as the face of our company to patients, assisting with routine health services or life-defining health decisions. Responsibilities include:

• Drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing.

• Creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients.

• Demonstrating leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to confidentiality and patient information accuracy.

• Assignments may vary between doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.

• Maintain a safe and professional environment.

• Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established practices.

• Verify patient demographic information and confirm accurate tube labeling in the presence of the patient.

• Maintain required records and documentation.

• Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.

• Exhibit excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

• Flexible availability to accommodate staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including dress code, employee health and safety, and guiding principles.

• Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise sound judgment.

• Possess reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.

• Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and cover Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.

• Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

• Demonstrate superior customer focus, transparent communication, adaptability to change, and strong business knowledge.

• Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
