Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Washington MO
Duration: 3-4+ months of Contract with (temp-to-hire)
Shift: M to F 6:30am-3pm
Position Overview:
The PSR II serves as the face of our company to patients, assisting with routine health services or life-defining health decisions. Responsibilities include:

Drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing.

Creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients.

Demonstrating leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to confidentiality and patient information accuracy.

Assignments may vary between doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe and professional environment.

Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established practices.

Verify patient demographic information and confirm accurate tube labeling in the presence of the patient.

Maintain required records and documentation.

Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:

Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Exhibit excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexible availability to accommodate staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Adhere to all policies and procedures, including dress code, employee health and safety, and guiding principles.

Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise sound judgment.

Possess reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.

Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and cover Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.

Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Demonstrate superior customer focus, transparent communication, adaptability to change, and strong business knowledge.

Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Education Requirements:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience Requirements:
-
Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
