Phlebotomist II
Job Title: Patient Services Representative II (PSR II)
Location: 7507
Shift/Time Zone: M - F 8:00Am to 5:00PM
Duration: 3 Months with possibility of Extension
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II serves as the face of the organization, providing high-quality patient care through skilled phlebotomy and professional service. This role requires direct interaction with patients to collect blood samples safely and accurately, while maintaining strict adherence to confidentiality and quality procedures. The PSR II may be assigned to a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and STAT specimen collection (venipuncture and capillary) for all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

Verify and label patient specimens accurately, ensuring patient identification is confirmed and documented.

Maintain accurate records and documentation according to company and regulatory standards.

Provide exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and confident environment for patients.

Demonstrate leadership behavior and process excellence in all tasks.

Uphold safety, cleanliness, and professionalism in all work areas.

Travel to multiple sites as needed, sometimes on short notice.

Comply with company policies, procedures, dress code, and safety standards.
Job Requirements:

Education:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
-
Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)

Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
-
2+ years experience in a Patient Service Center (Preferred)

Customer service experience in a retail/service environment (Preferred)

Keyboard and data entry skills required

Technical & Interpersonal Skills:

Strong communication and customer service abilities

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Must make sound decisions using established protocols

Scheduling & Availability:
-
Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call

Punctuality and full shift attendance are strictly required

Transportation:

Must have reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record
