Job Description: As our Lead Technical Designer, you will demonstrate an advanced knowledge of pattern-making, fit, and the product commercialization process from start to finish
This role will focus on Women s Running Apparel creation for ***
At times your role will also extend to testing and consumer or athlete validation.

This candidate brings an advanced level of technical development and pattern-making skills
The candidate also needs to have a strong product creation background and be a strategic problem solver with project management capabilities
This role requires the use of pattern-making software (Optitex) and 3D tools & technologies such as CLO
Someone eager to embrace new processes, tools, and technologies and be able to apply data for analysis and decision-making
We re looking for a strong collaborator, communicator, and advocate.


WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You ll partner across the business to develop best-in-class Running Apparel, on pre-season and in-season timelines
You will work cross-functionally to develop a variety of technical and performance garments, and build specifications, all while following *** standards for apparel
You may also build virtual versions of protos using 3D tools (CLO).


WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will be reporting to the Manager of Technical Design for Women s Running and will work with a dedicated team
You will partner with Design, Materials, Product Management, PCC/Development (overseas), and Operations partners to build our Running product.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING?

Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Pattern Making, Textile Science or a related field or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
8+ years experience in the apparel development process from inception through production, including but not limited to pattern making, grading, construction, costing, manufacturing, materials, and quality
Experienced in pattern making, translating patterns to written product specs and construction standards instructions.
Demonstrated skill in problem-solving and results orientation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage a high workload
Proficiency with CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex) and 3D software (Clo) is highly desired
Proficiency with MS Office programs and Adobe Illustrator
Comments for Suppliers: Notes:
This is an apparel design and construction role with the Women's Running GA Product Creation team
They will assist with garment fit and pattern development.

Must be local to WHQ and willing to be onsite with a 4-1 schedule and 9-5 hours
This is a parental leave fill for an FTE worker.

REQUIRED:
8+ years in product design, fit specialist, technical apparel developer, technical apparel designer, or apparel construction and design.
Designed fit and pattern of garments for nit and weave materials
Designed garment construction for fitted and loose garments
They will not work on Leggings or Bras.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Experience leading fit session meetings with live models
Has used: Adobe Illustrator, Optitex or other digital patterning tools, CLO or other 3d modeling tools, and PCX or other tech packs and PML tools.
Strong communication, very collaborative, experience in a fast paced environments
