Supervisor III - Operations
Position Title: Maintenance Supervisor (3rd Shift)
Position Details:
Shift: 3rd Shift (9:30 pm to 6 am)
Schedule: Sunday evening through Friday mornings
Hours: Approximately 45 hours per week (overtime likely, some weekends/holidays)
Location: Waterloo, IA 50703 (Onsite from the first day)
Dress Code: Business casual
Special Requirements: Safety shoes with internal metatarsal protection required from day one
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will provide leadership and supervision to hourly employees, ensuring efficient and safe operations while meeting quality and delivery objectives. The position involves primarily working on the shop floor and coordinating tasks that are non-routine and self-directed.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage hourly employees on the shop floor.
Coordinate and schedule tasks to ensure safety, efficiency, and alignment with quality and delivery targets.
Spend approximately 50% of the day on the shop floor, overseeing operations.
Provide guidance and support for non-routine tasks, ensuring objectives are met.
Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the team.
Required Qualifications:
1+ years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
Comfortable managing hourly employees in a factory setting.
Proficient in MS Office, including Excel.
Strong communication and people management skills.
Experience in planning, scheduling, and estimating work.
Technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and tool and die areas.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must be eligible for an in-person interview.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP systems.
Additional Information:
Must be able to drive a Client owned Gator on the shop floor after completing safety training.
