Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and credentialed Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for a full-time day shift position in Muskogee, OK. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience in ICU, Stepdown, or PCU settings and will play a key role in managing patients requiring advanced respiratory care. This opportunity is ideal for licensed professionals seeking a long-term, growth-oriented role.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapies, including nebulizer treatments, metered dose inhalers, and oxygen therapy.
- Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive) and assist with intubation/extubation procedures.
- Perform suctioning, incentive spirometry, chest physiotherapy, and bronchoscopy assistance.
- Assess patients and deliver care in accordance with age, cultural, and psychosocial needs.
- Document physician orders, patient status, and interventions in the medical record with accuracy.
- Respond promptly to Code Blue, RIT/CRIT calls, and transport assignments.
- Mentor new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge through in-services and department education standards.
- Practice excellent communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ensure safe, ethical, and respectful treatment aligned with patient rights and hospital policy.
Licensure/Certification:
- Oklahoma RCP License or temporary practice letter (Oklahoma Medical Board)
- CRT or RRT certification (NBRC)
- BLS – American Heart Association
- Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) via NBRC
Experience:
- Accepting candidates with min 6 months related experience
