Phlebotomist Floater
Location: Twinsburg, OH, 44087
Duration: 3 Months
Shift: 7 am to 6 pm
Overview
The Phlebotomist III – Float serves as the primary patient-facing representative of the organization. This role involves performing high-quality blood collection, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining an environment of trust, confidence, and excellent patient care. The Float position provides coverage across multiple locations and may support various functions depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities

Perform accurate, safe, and skillful blood collection from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

Prepare and process specimens according to established procedures.

Provide coverage at multiple sites, including:
-
Patient Service Centers (PSCs)
-
In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) locations
-
Mobile/house call environments
-
Long-term care facilities
-

Ensure all daily site activities are completed accurately and on time.

Serve as an onsite leader when needed, including directing Phlebotomist/PSR teams.

Coach, mentor, train, and support new employees; assist with onboarding new clients.

Act as a primary point of contact for onsite staff; provide feedback to group leads or supervisors.

Work with high-volume or high-complexity clients that require advanced phlebotomy skills.

Demonstrate strong customer service skills, including communication, problem-solving, and collaboration with:

Maintain confidentiality, accuracy in patient information, and compliance with all procedures.

Manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
Required Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred).
-
Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA).
Work Experience
-
Minimum 5 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (required).

Minimum 3 years experience in a PSC or IOP setting (preferred).
-
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment (preferred).
-
Keyboarding and data entry experience.
