What are the day-to-day job duties:
  • This role supports provider contracting and agreement management activities across hospitals, physician groups, and ancillary providers to maintain a high-quality, cost-effective provider network. The position will assist with the development, review, and tracking of Letters of Agreement, amendments, and Single Case Agreements (SCAs) using Client’s approved templates and contracting processes.
  • The role will support SB1264 dispute resolution activities by assisting with case intake, documentation review, and tracking of provider-submitted claims related to out-of-network payment disputes. Responsibilities include preparing case files, monitoring negotiation timelines, supporting mediation preparation, and coordinating with internal stakeholders involved in SB1264 claim resolution.
  • This position will maintain detailed tracking systems and reporting tools used to manage provider negotiations, SB1264 cases, and Single Case Agreement activity. The role will help ensure all provider documentation, claim data, billing codes, and supporting materials are complete and organized to support negotiation strategy, mediation preparation, and regulatory compliance.
  • The position will also assist with provider communications regarding contract terms, reimbursement methodologies, Single Case Agreements, and SB1264 claim negotiations while ensuring alignment with Client’s network adequacy standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Additional responsibilities include supporting provider network development initiatives through research, coordination of provider outreach, contract documentation management, and maintaining organized contract files that support operational transparency and compliance.
  • This role requires close collaboration with contracting leadership, legal, compliance, and operational teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely case resolution, and adherence to established contracting procedures.
 
Top Skills Required:
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with provider contracts, Letters of Agreement, and Single Case Agreements
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and case volumes simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills when working with providers and internal teams
  • Ability to review and organize claim documentation, billing information, and contract terms
  • Ability to work independently while following structured processes and escalation protocols
  • Understanding of healthcare reimbursement models and managed care contracting practices
  • Familiarity with SB1264 dispute resolution processes or surprise billing regulations is strongly preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
  • Strong relationship management skills when interacting with providers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
 
Required Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in healthcare administration, healthcare operations, managed care, provider contracting, or a related healthcare field.
 
Required Years of Experience:
2–4 years of experience supporting provider contracting, healthcare operations, managed care organizations, or payer-provider relations.
 
Preferred experience includes working with:
  • Provider contracting teams
  • Single Case Agreements (SCA)
  • SB1264 dispute resolution or No Surprises Act workflows
  • Claims negotiation or payment dispute resolution
