Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Kirkland, WA
Duration: 4 Months+ (Possible Extension)

Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Pay Range: $22.90 – $28.30/hr. on W2
 
Position Summary:
The Phlebotomist I, also known as Patient Services Representative I (PSR I), is the first point of contact for patients during blood collection and specimen processing. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and providing clear explanations to patients to ensure a safe, accurate, and positive experience. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Draw blood and collect specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
  • Prepare, label, and process specimens accurately according to laboratory protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all patient interactions and specimens.
  • Provide a professional, compassionate, and reassuring environment for patients.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform duties independently under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence.
  • Remain flexible and available for weekend, holiday, on-call, or overtime shifts as needed.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience; 1+ years preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills; experience in retail or service environment is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keyboard/data entry skills required.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
